Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy
“Love me when I least deserve it, because that is when I need it the most.” – Swedish proverb

Life for children today can be very challenging due to academic demands, social challenges, family transitions, temperament differences, and the influence of social media. These stresses can lead to withdrawal, worry, irritability, or acting out behaviors.
With Children
My sessions with children are engaging, creative, supportive and fun. Using conversation, art, games, and storytelling, I help children express feelings, understand themselves, and develop new skills to handle challenges more effectively.
Parents are essential partners in their child’s growth. Based on a deep and compassionate understanding of your child’s unique personality and the purpose their behaviors serve, we will develop practical strategies and goals to deal with difficult behaviors and support their emotional development
With Adolescents
Adolescence is a time of change, confusion, social and academic pressures, developing sense of self, and increasing demands. Exposure to social media, drugs and alcohol, gaming and the internet can make life feel even more challenging. I provide a non-judgmental guidance to help teens “figure it all out” and help them develop the skills to navigate life.
With adolescents, parent involvement is tailored to the situation and always developed collaboratively with the teen, so they feel respected and empowered in their therapeutic process.
